Annual Meeting of the General Society of the War of 1812 – Baltimore – September 14, 2024
The General Society of the War of 1812 will hold its 2024 Annual Meeting in Baltimore, Maryland on September 13 – 14, 2024. The weekend activities will focus on historic Fort McHenry. Following is a brief summary of the itinerary:
Friday, September 13, 2024
– Fort McHenry Parade led by fife and drum. The Parade begins at 7 pm and is about a 1 mile walk through the local area ending at the Fort.
Saturday, September 14, 2024
– 9:00 am – Wreath Presentation at Battle Monument;
– 10:00 am – Annual General Society Board of Directors Meeting – Hilton Garden Inn (near Inner Harbor);
– 2:00 pm – Private Guided Tour for Society Members and Guests of Fort McHenry;
– 4:30 pm – Wreath Presentation at Armistead Statue;
– 5:30 pm – 9:00 pm – “Fort McHenry Star-Spangled Spectacular” – Dinner, Chorale, Fireworks ($100 per person)
